Fire Station Engineering

We understand the design challenges.

An up to date, state of the art fire station can create numerous challenges for the design team. Whether modernizing an existing fire station or designing a new one from the ground up, the varying space types throughout the facility require a well thought out, carefully designed mechanical system.

3C Engineering has the experience and expertise to take on these challenges and be an imperative team member.

3CE Engineered Solutions

Between dorms, training rooms, day rooms, admin areas, apparatus and vehicle maintenance bays, each space has a unique set of HVAC requirements. In addition, the plumbing infrastructure must be engineered to handle the increased water demands associated with filling trucks, running drills and storing backup water in order to remain operational if utility water is unavailable during an emergency.

3CE Solutions:

  • On site emergency water storage

  • Turnout room heating and ventilation

  • Point of source vehicle exhaust systems

  • Mechanical support for emergency generators

  • Integration of emergency gas shut-down with fire station alerting sytems

  • Waste water diverting systems to switch between storm and sand/oil separators for truck wash down
